Erimus74, I'm Shaun Keogh. That's a fine collection you have.
It wasn't a garden shed fire, Zoophonic; that somewhat trivialises the event.
The building was 12x6m, about 200 years old and timber framed. It was completely lost along with everything inside. It housed a working business as well as a huge amount of irreplaceable items such as generations of family photographs and items that belonged to my father that were hugely sentimental. The MSS magazines that were lost in this fire were not an 'official' archive, they just happened to be my collection of magazines, including MSS that I had contributed to. The fire was a devastating event in my life, to which anybody who has ever suffered such a calamity would understand me being a bit touchy about, even 20 years on as we are. But there is no way you could have known that - only people involved with MSS at that time would have known this was no 'garden shed' fire and how devastating it was for me.
