Most unimpressive celebrity sighting

Nobby Styles came to our house when I was a kid but didn't come in.

Su Pollard held the door open for me in Binns Newcastle as I followed her out of the store, she is tiny.

Celeb anecdotes eh?
I went to Nobby Stiles house and was invited in on more than one occasion
Always good to out trump you Muttley

Nice to find alt least one thing in common -a true rarity

Katie Price ( then Jordan) sat in front of me on a late night Heathrow/Newcastle flight . Small realy bad Skin huge chest . Bryan Ferry Longlands traffic lights 1974. Pink soft top caddy.
Boro's own Malcolm Smith , Roxy concert at the city hall 1973.
Sat near to Jake Gyllenhaal at the NY Metropole last year( but my daughter had to tell me who he was.

Cameron Diaz doing karaoke in a bar in NY. 2007 I think. She and her 2 mates, no idea if they were famous or not, ended up joining us in our booth for a little while. We were out for a friends birthday, about 8 of us. We all ended up singing a song together, Salt 'n' Pepa's Push It. Very down to earth and not at all a diva, the 3 of them were really good fun

Also used to see Tanni Grey-Thompson at darlo train station quite regularly. I think she was going down to london at the same time I would get the train up to work in Newcastle

oh, also saw Neil Tenant at Darlo railway station on a Sunday evening when I was working in London and living in Brotton. late 90s early noughties.

Bernie S in the centre of the throng jumping wildly up and down to The Cult in concert at Boro town hall mid 90’s

Charlie Nicholas (nice bloke) checking in to Rockliffe Hall between Christmas and new year. I was checking out. He had his photo taken with me.

Chatted to Dani Ayala (in a mix of Spanish and English about his injury/ how he’d settled at Boro and property around Seville) in the sauna at Rockliffe during the first of his annual ankle injuries. Really nice bloke.

spent many nights getting drunk with Greg Davies when he was still a teacher and just setting out on his career. He certainly worked his way up the hard way and deserves what he’s achieved. Hilariously funny man. Used to share a house and subsequently a flat with one of my best mates in Isleworth in the 90s

Tessa Sanderson, Bobby Charlton at an event for a garage. Ken Dodd at the Palladium back stage, lovely genuine man, Denis Law, Vinnie Jones at an event, Stephen Tomlinson, delightful genuine man.

Pretty sure I briefly saw the back of the queen's head when she was being chauffeur driven in her roller through Yarm, late '70s I think

Come to think of it, it must have been her head cos her husband was a baldy so yes, after 40 odd years I can confirm the above statement

Silver Jubilee. I bumped into her on Norton Green and at Stockton Cricket Club. Met her many years later in Edinburgh on a stag do. Was a Sunday lunchtime, she was leaving church, I was sat on the kerb opposite said church very hungover. She waved at me on all 3 occasions (I like to think in Edinburgh she remembered my from all those years before on her jubilee jaunt.

I also watched David Beckham play football - live and in the flesh - but then again so did 1000s of others, which makes it all the more unimpressive (y)
