Most gutted you have ever been as a Boro fan

Probably the very first game I attended. It was 1979 and we got beat 0-1 by Liverpool.

I was absolutely gutted that we didn't score a single goal. It still rankles today.

Everything since then has been a bit 'meh'
 
In no particular order, last night tracks alongside Rioch's team getting beat at home by Leicester to miss out on automatic promotion, the play off final defeat v Norwich and conceding a goal in the first minute v Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

The tough part of last night was the complete lack of swagger and spark, for a team that has scored for fun this season.
 
Has to be Sevilla...
If we had won the UEFA cup then I think we would probably be a very different club today.
would have played Barcelona in the super cup final - may have even won that too.
would have had european football again in 2006-07 season
would Mclaren have left? If so we probably would have gotten a high-profile manager in rather than Southgate
 
Coming back to this forum after a while away and discovered it’s gone downhill loads
All the pre good posters have gone and replaced by racist,politically biased ***** who don’t care or know about Boro

Yep, defintley Sevilla. Winning that cup could have been a turning point for the club. Would have raised our profile to new levels. We'd have also become part of an exclusive club of English teams that had won a European trophy, something bigger clubs than us have never even had a sniff of.

Boro will have good domestic cup runs in times to come and will one day play in the Premier League once more, but I doubt we'll ever reach a European Cup final again in anyone's lifetime whose reading this.
 
First got my season ticket in 2000/01 so I’d say my top 5 would be:

1. FA Cup vs. Cardiff
2. UEFA Cup final vs. Sevilla
3. Play off final vs. Norwich
4. FA Cup Semi vs. West Ham
5. Last night
 
In no particular order:

Norwich @ Wembley
Newcastle (A) in the 2009 relegation season.
Cardiff FA Cup at home
West Ham FA Cup semi final
UEFA Cup final
Last night
 
Leicester always tops my list and the fallout was huge too, no Replay and we wouldn't rest Juninho against Sunderland.

We were seconds from a trophy and deserved to win
 
Getting relegated at Hillsborough was the end of a very special time with that Rioch team. Another one of those days when we were never going to score (like last night)
