Most ‘boring’ ever Boro midfield player you have seen play !!

The first time Sky thread had me thinking when I seen Andy Peake leading the team out, who was the most one dimensional, sideways passing, limited attacking Boro midfield player you have ever seen ? Im thinking ‘boring’ might be a bit of a harsh word to use in the thread title, as I’m guessing some of them where just doing the job they were instructed to do !!

Andy Peake for me. There was also a shout for Colin Ross, but that was before my time 😊

Unfortunately I had to endure watching Colin Ross

Paul Okon came to mind first. But Gary Gill used to get some stick too. I think its more the job they are given: break up play, pass it to someone better.

Of the ones mentioned so far all had some redeeming qualities, apart from Peake who just worked his nuts off. Okon's touch was good, and O'Neill was super athletic.

Keith O'Neill was one I'd add, he always looked a little short of pace/ability/fitness!

Okon......trying to think of anything, absolutely ANYTHING he did - good or bad. He was just a 5/10 player.

I love KON Afloying drop kick tackled not so much a foul more bordering on assault that one at the SOL ouch.
Always looked slightly wild

Isiah Osborne is the player who springs to mind as doing nothing in his short time with us.

Andy Peake is or was a Policeman after he retired from football and was pretty uncharismatic as both a footballer (goal against Stoke aside but even that was pretty meaningless) and an individual.
