More rule breaking?

If anyone wonders what Johnson and his advisors do all day, they've spent this morning coming up with an excuse as to why it happened.

It was a childcare bubble apparently.

It is now confirmed they had a close friend staying over Xmas during the height of lockdown but
’No rules were broken’

That’s sorted then

To be fair compared to all the things we could hang on Bojo (and there’s many) this is quite trivial.

now if we’re talking track and trace…

It's not trivial at all Zorro.

He and his cronies were responsible for telling millions of people not to spend Xmas with loved ones. In a predominantly Christian country (yes it still is regardless of what some may believe and I say that as a man who doesn't believe in religion at all) and also a country who's people take the Xmas period very seriously as a way to celebrate the year, the religious side of it, the family aspect of it or the parties, or whatever motive, his and her's flouting of the rules they set out for everyone else but the elite and their mates stinks to high heaven.

Good luck pushing another lockdown Mr Johnson.

Is it bollix a Christian country. We're doing our best, as a nation, to remove any trace of religion from the main Christian holidays, and I say that as an atheist.

After a youth filled with daily Hymns ( school) Choir duties and attending Sunday School - it became pretty obvious to me that it was a fairy tale - ergo became an atheist.
However, I still retained a love of old churches, the history, the hymns, Christmas carols, the various religious periods ( Easter etc ) even though one knew they had been cobbled ofttimes with olde pagan type festivals.
I prefer that the Christian Holiday persist - I think the teachings are pretty benign, a comfort for many, I do wonder why they are under such sustained attack.
We do appear to have become a very brittle nation in parts.

I personally think this should be a bigger deal than it is being treat as, in essence Johnson has committed the same offence, breaking lock-down guidance, that caused Hancock to leave his position as Health secretary, my understanding of a child care bubble was to provide cover should their be no-one within the household to look after their children.

“You can only use a childcare bubble for childcare. You cannot use a childcare bubble to mix with another household for other reasons.” seems a pretty clear statement with little ambiguity, if both Johnson's spent Christmas Day at No.11 as reported where is the need for childcare ?

The hypocrisy and double standards of Johnson really are astounding and the continued support he receives is beyond baffling, this is not based on any political competence which I have my own opinion on, but on human level, here is a man who continues to lie, interpret his own guidelines to suit, takes liberties with donation rules and reneges on promises at the same rate most of us change socks.

This is not about policy or political preference, this is solely about a man who is using his position to circumvent proper and right behaviour, his position not to serve his country but to benefit himself, who implores us to do things he himself will not, a man who believes his right is to rule but has never bothered to learn the basics of what good leadership actually entails, but his cult continue to defend and deflect, blinded by bumble and bluff, giving him the benefit of every doubt and refuting every criticism as nugatory, day after day more comes to light and it never shines clean, there is always a shadow, of something not quite right or majorly wrong, but it's 'good old Bojo' a political forest surrounded by trees and unable to find any wood.
