Brian Taylor started the season in the 1st team

Peter Brine, our 73-74 supersub

Billy Woof, the following season

Tom Patterson one game only the following season at home to Birmingham in a 3-0 win

Bobby Scaife, challenging Souness for a 1st team spot didn't make the 1st team, not surprising, but won the fastest apprenticeship race at Wembley before the centenary FAC final, I think
Met him in the Tipcy Cow last new year

Wade - Never heard of him

Gary Briggs - He signed as a full pro but never made a 1st team appearence & left to join Oxford United, the fee was settled at the football leagues first-ever transfer tribunal. Gary Briggs spent eleven years at Oxford, where he received the nickname "Rambo" & became a cult hero, winning the club's "Player of the Year" accolade three times
March 2005, Briggs unveiled Executive Box 28 at Oxford United's Kassam Stadium in his name

Mr Middlesbrough John Hickton

Ted Coleman - One appearence when wearing the No9 shirt away to Villa last match of the 75-76 season, which Ironically was John Hicktons final Boro 1st team goal

That looks like ex-Boro Bobby Hosker at no 4 for York. The Sunthorpe side features Richard Money who later played for Livervool and managed Hartlepool, as well as ex-Darlo Alan Sproates.

15th December 1976

Malcolm Smith made his final 1st team appearence the previous season, a month after this game he joined Blackpool on loan, Malcolm Smith made his full debut scoring both Boro's goals in a 2-1 home win over Sunderland

Alan Walsh made 3 sub appearences but after leaving the Boro had very good scoring career at Bristol City & Darlington

Future Boro player Mick Saxby for Mansfield. And Alan Walsh is Kelsey Grammer's father-in-law!

I'm certain that its Derrick Downing at 11 for York City as he was with them 75-77

November 1968 friendly v Bremerhacen, we drew 1-1 with Mr Middlesbrough John Hickton scoring our goal, we played in all white, we played them away earlier in May, losing 1-0 when Bill Gates was sent off
