How optimistic are you all about this??

This bit concerns me a little from another article:

'It is for this reason that BBC Sport has been told the Premier League needs detailed analysis of what money is needed, for whom and precisely why. Without this, the organisation is reluctant to hand over a cheque at a time when its clubs are feeling huge financial pressure given they are losing the most in terms of fans being absent from stadiums'

Sure I read that relegation from the premier league would be off the table for a determined lengthy of time.

That would reduce the competitive spirit and morale of the Championship teams. It's concerning.
Exactly. I can't see clubs accepting that stipulation.

Another theory, what if the EFL took things into their own hands and let fans back in, obviously with reduced numbers? We are talking millions of lost revenue which ultimately is millions of lost tax money for the Government ultimately.

Errm. Because they would go to jail?

Surely if they took the matters into their own hands and started letting fans in they would be leaving themselves wide open to a hefty fine.

I don't think it will come to that, but I can't see clubs going out of business thanks to our current Covid situation and laying down having their tums tickled and accepting it. I really fear for the EFL, not to mention the service industries relying on games being played in front of normal crowds.

Could be a lot better if we didn't have to jump through so many contradictory hoops but I've still got a job and we are still doing decent numbers so can't complain.
That is why I am asking mate - I thought the expectations the government have thrown at the hospitality industry would have an impact. Good to hear the numbers are still high.
