A little off topic, but talking of Special Forces.. I’ve recently watched Jason Fox’s ‘Inside the real Narcos’ on Netflix. 3 part mini series, on location in Peru, Columbia and Mexico. Fascinating.

Aldo Kane was a producer and head of security & safety for it.. another ex Royal Marine Commando. Reading his book currently, which is quality if you’re interested in life in the military.

The thin red line is a supurb film. Great cast and sound track too. I Know you wanted more modern But it's well worth a watch if you haven't seen it before. Thin red line

The Outpost on Amazon Prime is ok, about an American unit in Afghanistan.

Kajaki is very tense, British soldiers in Afghanistan.

Series, not a film, but Generation Kill is fantastic, following a USMC unit during the Iraqi invasion.
