I think he’s a really underrated comedian. Did you ever hear or watch his show In and Out of the Kitchen? It was a radio comedy that ended up on BBC Four but only ran for three episodes. I thought it was really good.

He's a great comedian and story teller. However, to anyone with kids in their late teens and early twenties he'll always be Archie the inventor from Balamory

Didn't he do a full stand up about being a cricket journalist once? I remember it not being as good as I was hoping. Watchable though. Maybe the book was better.

I've only ever seen him on panel shows but he always comes across as a decent sort.

He does come across as good guy and I do know a few people who have met if and confirm that.
I almost feel dirty liking a posh gadge tho

3 eps?? 4 series and 22 episodes of pure joy. A ***ed up Mr Mullaney destroying a bar in Dublin is probably my most repeated listen on the sounds app.

I meant the sitcom for TV only ran for 3 episodes. Or at least I think it did. It’s how I discovered it, I hadn’t heard it on Radio 4 before then. It’s great!
