Middlesbrough v Watford [15/02] Match-Day Thread

What's happened to this team? A bit better last 5, but poor ball control, lack of anticipation, no fight for the second ball, defenders just want to get rid of it even when the pass is clearly not on. We look like we're expect to give a goal away at any point - like we're trying to play Watford into form. If they score first, it'll be like Plymouth and Bristol City last season. We have to get the first goal and try and get some momentum/confidence.

Can't help thinking Ihenacho is a bad signing. Big name on big money whose career is on the slide but who expects to start, but won't put the work in and will shoot every chance he gets.

With Karanka I used to count and moan every backward pass. Now it is is any pass that doesn’t take us past any opposition players. Lots are forward but don’t take you anywhere

Doing our absolute best to help Watford out. Ponderous and useless on the ball. When we do get forward, nobody seems to want to try and take it on or gamble and get into the box as the ball get in.

As I type, the inevitable happens 1-0
