Middlesbrough v Bournemouth Allowed 1000 fans

I will get the exact guidance. In the linked video at the women's match last week people were asked to continue to wear during the game. But I will find out the precise instructions and in fact I know the football club is going to be putting out guidance today on the website.

Middlesbrough Supporters Forum thought it would be useful to share with supporters some further context on why the 1000 tickets for Saturdays pilot game, have only been made available to season card holders on a first come first serve basis.

The point is organised with football is going on safely, even in lockdown areas, which Teesside isn’t.

I myself have attended quite a few Northern League games and will continue to do so. If we are waiting for the virus to be eradicated we will literally be waiting forever and general life will have absolutely no bearing to what we know. It’s about adhering to the guidelines and if done safely which it has been, in an outside arena then I’ll continue to do so. It’s got nothing to do with being irresponsible, there’s a difference.

Totally agree with MFC that this was the best move to make regarding selling the 1,000 tickets.

Personally, I think it's probably only fair going forward that if there's another game in which 'only 1,000 fans' can attend, then the 1,000 fans (including myself) who were lucky enough to get a ticket for tomorrow, shouldn't be allowed to apply.

Hopefully tomorrow's trial goes well and both EFL and MFC can allow fans to go to the next home game (with a higher allowance attending), but again, those who go tomorrow shouldn't be allowed to apply for tickets until all other fans have had 'first dibs'.

Yes, I know. They want you to wear them entering and going through the stadium to your seats but then would like to "encourage fans to continue to wear their masks whilst watching the game."

I appeal to everyone to watch that 3 minute video that I have posted above. It shows exactly what to expect from a fan trial, albeit at a women's game in the south of England. But they were also going to an unfamiliar new home stadium for their team. You will hear and see that they felt very reassured that their safety was being looked after and they enjoyed the experience.

Probably as many fans as they normally get.

I'm more ***ed off, I was on the site, at 8.07pm, the seats were there every time I clicked on it, just said try somewhere else to sit. I was on android phone which apparently didn't work well on the site. Then said no event. I'd have taken the chance and followed the guidelines.

Mark from Fans Forum is making a short video guide this morning at the ground just as a help to those going to the match this afternoon.

Thanks for the video rob but I expected more in the way of floor markings and clearly marked zones as from that vid it looks like a few hand sanitizers and the odd keep
Left sign.

I think the thing is to bear in mind is the concourses are closed except for use of toilets. Therefore people should not congregate in there. It is merely a route to get between the turnstiles and your seat.
Stewards and PA announcements will be there to guide everyone.
