Middlesbrough to be covid 19 test area

Loads of people have ignored the lockdown and I'm not sure them receiving a phone call or text message to say they have been near someone who has tested positive is going to make them change their behaviour. It sounds good in theory but is there going to be any enforcement on it? It seems like a lot of people are pinning their hopes on it being the saviour, but far too many haven't followed the existing guidance, and it will require apparently more than 60% of the population to use it for it to create any usable data and be effective, so I'm not really convinced it is going to work.

An earlier and fully enforced lockdown was the answer and we could potentially be on the other side of it now.

This coming Bank Holiday is just going to be another set back for an area like ours.

Got to agree with you on that one. Apart from handing out a few fines for people being in areas they shouldn't be the Police have done very little to enforce crowds gathering. If they were anti Government protesters they would soon shut them down.
Likewise this two week quarantine for visitors wont be enforced either. Its going to be health officials who make checks not the Police.
Its all just lip service. Don't envisage the App to ever make an appearance.
