Middlesbrough Supporters Forum is holding its latest Food Bank collection on Saturday 9th April 2022 v Hull City – beginning from 12 noon through to kick off.

With the support of Middlesbrough Football Club, the Forum has once again arranged a donation point close to the Legends Lounge (same location as Ukraine collection) for dry and non-perishable foods, or cash donations, to support the invaluable work the foodbank does in the town.

Middlesbrough Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

It provides three days’ of nutritionally balanced emergency food to local people who are referred in crisis.

Urgently needed items required include:

  • Long Life Juice
  • UHT Milk
  • Tinned Custard
  • Tinned Fruit
Cash donations are also welcomed to enable items to be purchased.

Full details of other items required can be found here –https://middlesbrough.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/

Media are asked to publicise in advance and are welcome to visit the donation point for photo/interview opportunities on the day of the collection

It is always useful to have a list of what the Food Bank is really short of or needs most.
The thing to emphasise here is if we all bring one item then it really, really adds up. You don't need to go out shopping.

I will do my best to bring some items down to the food bank. Its handy taking items to somewhere you are going to anyway.

Remember the Food Bank van will be parked outside the Legends Lounge (south west corner). This is the same position as the recent Ukraine collection.

Don't forget there will be another collection before the Hull game. The van will be parked outside the Rivrerside south west corner (Legends Lounge).

Any thoughts about inviting a local MP down Rob?

Jacob Young, Matt Vickers, Simon Clarke or even Ben Houchen?

Quick morning reminder about this collection tomorrow.
Also - bucket collections for MFC Foundation and Teesside Hospice before the game.

If you can't get to the Riverside, or taking food there is going to be difficult, please consider donating financially instead. You can give cash on the day, or better still you can donate online and Gift Aid it so they'll get an extra 25% on top of what you donate.

Remember this is at the south west corner (not usual rear of North Stand position) - so exactly where the Ukraine collection point was - from 12 noon to kick off. Please support the Middlesbrough Foodbank appeal if you can.
