Middlesbrough Fans Forum Minutes

Great. That works then.
This was our meeting on Monday
A few things to point out - firstly as you no doubt know by now Boro were not alone wiith losing commentary last Saturday. 12 clubs experienced the same technical problem due to a fault from IMG the company responsible.
Hope you like the new format.
Also hope it helps better communicate

"Pride Cards" - Im up for that Rob.
A points system for those who cant attend every home game but probably upto 30+ games home and away in total in a season(y)

Yep. Obviously is in the future but got to come back in some shape or form.
I have just been told by a fans trust at another of the 12 clubs that lost commentary last weekend that the company responsible IMG won't even respond to emails about the breakdown.

Rob, you asked on here if anyone had any questions. I was the only one who replied with a question on the thread yet my question wasn't asked. I understand if lots of questions are asked you might have to summarise or prioritise but only 1 question was posted on the thread and it didn't get asked.

I'm sure this isn't the case but it leaves me feeling a little like it's pointless having fan reps on the committee if they're not going to pass along feedback or ask questions that have been raised by the fan communities they represent.

I knew the answer they were not allowed to open their concourses. They were debarred by their guidance tabled by government and Sports Ground Safety Authority.
The council then said no to external catering.
They will only be allowed catering outside the stadium when they eventually have a limited capacity but once again it will subject to what Mbro council and the local safety group deem safe. That could possibly be really low.
As it stands at present all pubs and cafes are table service only. So, they would have to be careful on a matchday wouldnt they. And am sure there will be a lot of council inspection going on.

But on the previous thread you said it was your opinion and you haven't seen the guidance as it hasn't been published? Remember the question wasn't about the test event itself but matches once we were allowed 1/3 capacity.

I'm sorry Rob but you keep changing stories.

I also thought it might be a good idea for the club to raise it with the authorities following the test to make them aware if they keep the concourse facilities closed it will result in a last minute rush to get in which we want to avoid.

Oh and you also said no surrounding pubs were open before you edited your reply - the Navi not a surrounding pub then?

It hardly matters does it, considering the Riverside will not be reopening anytime soon.

Well yes it does matter since it will re-open at some point and the whole point of having fan reps at these meetings is for them to raise the points that fans have raised with them.

What on earth is the point of asking on here for input if then you don't actually use it?

This is exactly what I meant. I understand we might be some way off having the stadium re-open but there can be unintended consequences of restrictions. If people cannot get anything to eat or drink at the stadium then they'll stay in pubs (which very definitely are open) until the last minute and there'll be a big rush so social distancing will be harder.
