Middlesbrough Cycling Lane - Update

They are doing the full length and it was already like this for the bus stops.
Not seen any reports that they're doing the full length but it wouldn't surprise me - how will they then satisfy all the shop traders who will be up in arms again?

Just because the bus stops are stupid doesn't mean everything that follows on should be the same?

Every time a bus stops on Linthorpe Road it holds up all the traffic behind it, a nightmare at busy times.

I think that's the idea, use the bus or the town centre car parks, or cycle?

Well acknowledged by now that cycle lanes and better walkability increase business footfall.

plus I was charged £4.50 to park in Cleveland Centre on Monday. I was there 2hrs 1 minute! Never again

We'll acknowledged? Got any links to back that up, I'd be interested to read how other authorities have improved "footfall' by turning a section of road into a dog's dinner as MBC have over the years.

Are you local? Have you actually walked the road and seen what a mess it is?

Roman Rd, Longford St, Union St, Brentnall St car park. I use that route all the time and i live closer to Linthorpe Rd.
Fair enough but that's only any good if you want to park in the Brentnall, you probably wouldn't go that way to go to the Cleveland center.

Just drive down linthorpe Rd and park in Cleveland centre, takes about 2 mins longer than it used to , though the capt cook car park is free and it's close
