Mick Lynch

I thought this interview with the godawful Burley was particularly good, as he refused to fall for her transparent trap setting.

Are the media misreading the room here?

I’m sure if your journey has affected over the coming days you’re probably not happy but I’m not convinced the majority of the public are as against this union as we are being led to believe 🤔

Seems to be a massive amount of support on social media today. For every 1 person who had finished the Daily Mail and took to regurgitating their bollox as absolute facts, there were 20 willing to shoot them down. It was actually reassuring to see as the media were desperately trying to make out billions of passengers were left stranded, fuming and missed their combined hospital appointment/ GCSE exam and armed forces day celebration. The reality was - what looks like - most people were happy to support the RMT. The ability to work from home, a huge stick up the governments **** anyway, also looks like it has played into the RMTs hands with a lot of workers not being particularly inconvenienced.

Interesting to see how this pans out and how much support it gathers. Could it be the start of something a lot bigger? 😳

to quote Mick Lynch - that figure you quote is a lie.

you claim your working in the railway industry, in some capacity - so its not an oversight on your behalf its the repeating of a falsehood.

why would you do that?
It's all the critics have. They can't lay a glove on him when it comes to the issues at hand, so it's sly digs or complaining that non-unionised workers get less money and appealing to 'fairness' while corporate profits spiral

yep, everyone who got in the media ring with him yesterday was retired hurt after 1 round - he perhaps has to move up a weight division.

he made a fool of andrew neil on KGB News.

Apparently it's not fair for workers to ask for a deserved and necessary pay rise but it's fine for execs and shareholders to get massive bonuses off the backs of workers underpaid toil.

It's rotten and so so easy to fix. First, all vital industries should be nationalised, public transport, energy, health, defence, education. None of these should be leaching money or be beholden to shareholders.

Second, tax wealth rather than income.

Third, even the earnings gap, nobody at the top of a business can earn more than 8? Times as much as those earning the least in the business.

Finally I would ban all private schools, every child in the UK has to go to a state school.

That's levelling up.

Worth every penny of his £125k/year salary.
Oh dear. I hate it when people just use blatant lies to try and prove some misguided "point". We've reached such a low point in discourse haven't we? Trumpian comments of outright lies are "accepted"

This was brilliant.

She really looked like a complete idiot (not for the first time....and very unlikely for it to be the last time too).

Fair play to Mick. If he was batting for England Cricket, he'd be setting a world record for most 6s in a day session.
