As this thread shows I wanted Carrick from day one ( actually I wanted him before he was even rumoured) as I just had a feeling it would work as it had robbo vibes and that style works here and so far so very good.

I was a bit wary tbh and felt the explayer rookie manager route was a risk, especially after the recent turn over of managers.
