Michael Caine in Zulu

Great story Michael Caine tells about his name. His real name is Maurice Micklewhite, His agent said he will have to change it to something else, anything but Micklewhite. He walked out of the studio in London and the film 'The Caine Mutiny' was being shown in a cinema nearby. He thought that's it Micheal Caine! He said he was relieved he had seen that cinema film advert first as the other one on the other side of the road was 'One hundred and one Dalmations!'

In a list of my top 10 favourite films, 2-10 quite often change but number 1 never does. The 2nd film our Dad took me to see and also the 3rd.

First film I ever went to see at the pictures with my Dad at The Eliete picture house(which became the ABC). Watched it about 20 times since. Love Zulu me.

Caine's performances throughout his acting career have been superb-- I'm forever watching and reviewing his movies as they're so unique in many ways. Unlike most actors I think he just has a canny knack of re-creating the roles his cast for, this is probably down to his up-bringing and self-styled character. Among my favourites are the Batman and his Harry Palmer movies, they never grow too old, but let's face it just his wit and care-free attitude of acting is abundant in all of his movies.
