Thoroughly enjoying his work on the beeb, seems like a really down to earth fella and a proper good laugh as well as being insightful and a very capable pundit. The sort of bloke who's always great to be around. He's a hell of a unit physically

He's great, a breath of fresh air really, should quieten down some of the anti-BLM people too.

BBC punditry is way better than ITV, plus the MOTD top tens are great viewing.

Seemed an unlikely leftfield pick as a pundit to start with but he's head and shoulders above the boring/ stodgy/ predictable old guard. Injury robbed him of a great footballing career. When he was 18/19 playing for England I remember thinking if only we had 10 of him we'd win everything

Yes, he's very good. The MOTD podcasts are worth a listen, quite a few extra bits that didn't make the cut. I like his openness when he has little knowledge of a subject. He is keen to learn and is quite self-deprecating about himself.
