MFC - the new dithering club

Now we see what the real problem is, the club lacks direction at the top. For any club to have a caretaker in charge for this many games is totally ridiculous.

But we’ve seen this lack of urgency or good decision making both on and off the field. The summer transfer window really brought it home to me how poor we are on both sides of the organization.

Now we’re waiting for a new manager — it’s like waiting for the number 9 bus to arrive, although we shouldn’t be too surprised the transfer window was so mismanaged you got the feeling that no one could make a decision and when they did it was the wrong one.

This club is rudderless and I don’t know if Inexperienced manager such as Carrick is a good idea.

I think there’s been some good posters of late suggesting the club is not being communicative enough with its fan base— it’s almost like we’ve got a foreign based ownership as they are so distant. I listened to the Steffan interview today — even he sounds bewildered by the manager fiasco.

I'm sorry but this is absolute nonsense, demonstrably so.

Have you seen how many clubs have caretakers in charge currently, clubs with much bigger resources than us, some over a longer period of time.

Ideally Carrick would be in place by now, but the suggestion that is because the club is "dithering" is just daft.

Karanka took about three weeks.. we were told Carrick would most likely be manager against Preston and be announced this coming Monday..

The chairman needs to address the supporter base. Forget about those who twist his words, the fact is he hasn’t spoken of Boro in public since Woodgate was unveiled. That was over three years ago. We’ve had two managers and a global pandemic since then, we’ve signed about 45 new players, had countless new back-room staff, struggled with relegation form and promotion form, reached a cup quarter final, and are now looking for yet another manager.

I’m sorry but to have not heard a peep out of anyone running the club for over three years is absolutely shocking. It’s just really, really poor form. There’s just a complete vacuum of leadership.

IMO of course.

Lacking ambition
Lacking leadership
Lacking interest
A plaything the leader has got bored with.
We are a middling nothing club. Nobody hates us nobody loves us. We are a non entity for most people and those in charge are content to retain that ambivalence. Carrick would be mad to come but I hope he is mad

The players need to get to know the new gaffa - quickly.
Whoever he is has a job on his hands.

No problem at all waiting to get the right people on board. Will give Carrick and the club the best chance of success. And for the more negative minded they can also use the perceived delay as a stick to beat the club with if Carrick doesn’t succeed. Win win.
