Total long shot, it's a bit niche

I just bought a second hand 2018 C Class. For some reason the SatNav SD card was missing. The entertainment system is NTG5.5 (widescreen) not 5, so I can't just buy a cheap SD card off eBay

There a few 5.5's on eBay for 80 quid but they need hooking up with your VIN and mess around with the cars software. Has anyone done this? Merc want to charge me £650 for a replacement SD Card (tossers) but I don't really want to fk around with the core software. Anyway, just thought I'd ask

£15 quid for a car holder and using Google maps is the current solution, just wondered if anyone had gone the eBay route? And is it any good
{and Yes I have googled solutions extensively!!}
 
Is it the facelifted version that came out late 2018? (model year 2019).

If so you should get CarPlay/Android Auto retrofitted. Can be done for about £150. Did it on mine a few months back after my "live traffic" subscription ran out (which uses the SD card-based navigation)

Is that the one where you are not allowed in if your car has indicators and brakes.......🤔🤔

(Just before Mercedes drivers get upset, I'm taking the p*ss .....I drive a (crappy) Merc.....)
