Meanwhile in New Zealand...

Unfortunately for the Tories, Corbyn has had nothing do do with the desperate shambles which has occurred under Covid, its all at Johnson’s door.
Unfortunately I would say fortunately. It’s a lose lose situation with Covid, your dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t.
Just look north of the border with sturgeon she is losing voter for the snp because she is trying to be more strict and yet if she follows bj she will lose voters for being too lenient or being a puppet.

New Zealand have had relatively low numbers and don’t have 1000’s crossing the channel illegally with unknown health status. Given then the uk also has 60million more people living in it and a land mass which is smaller I’m pretty sure will also have a dramatic effect on the situation.

I agree she has done well and I think the fact she has rejected pay increase is commendable and others could learn from that but from relatives who live over there I know that she’s not as well liked as you may think and this pandemic has probably saved her as the MP.

Corbyn would have just taken money from the workers and given it to the unemployed and immigrants. He would also have decided to use covid as an excuse to cancel Brexit and go against what the country voted for like it or not.

is this satire? the first difference between us and NZ that springs to mind is “thousands crossing the channel illegally”?
Ignoring the ridiculous claim that Corbyn would’ve taken money from workers and given in to unemployed and immigrants(much smaller “drains” on the coffers than you might think.) - Your preference is for money to be taken from workers and given to wealthy Tory donors instead?

Anyone got a Daily Mail bingo card I can borrow, this one's just combusted...

All politicians lie it’s why they end up being politicians because they are able to con you into believing them. I don’t really care what he agrees to spend money on to be honest as he’s been elected to do that job of making those decisions. Up in the north we very rarely get anything that benefits us anyway so it makes no difference if it’s BJ, Corbyn or any other lying politician.

What I don’t like is when a politician is indecisive and not clear on his aim, he wouldn’t commit to where he stood on Brexit. If he had been he may have won on that basis alone but he wasn’t the brightest of guys even lying about having to sit in the walkway of the train because there was no seats yet pictures showed he had a seat.
You can never trust any of them even the NZ one as she will and obviously has had an ulterior motive of re-election.

They have just re-elected - by a huge margin - an intelligent, measured, compassionate, female leader, who has led them steadily and sensibly through this pandemic. UK, compare and contrast. The UK is a joke, led by a clown we inflicted on ourselves.
I don't think so, she has done well because she closed the borders - fair enough ... but as soon as international travel starts again.... they are f**ked if a vaccine isn't developed

We can't stay hidden forever

EQUALLY Britain is a major transport Hub between Europe and North America, so it's far more important than an outpost like NZ

I think whatever Corbyn would have done is irrelevant when he did not win the election and in any case it would have been savagely criticised by the Tories. At least Johnson has been able to benefit from Starmer showing a more ‘national interest’ type of approach rather than just highlighting his shocking performance day in day out. If Labour had presided over this catastrophic mess the Tories would have been trying to get the army sent in to take control.

I’ve even stopped discussing the incompetence of Johnson with the Tories I know, quite frankly I’m disgusted that they vote for a party that put somebody like him in charge.

goingnowhere - we certainly are under this Tory government

Nailed it 100 per cent
All these business men and women mix in the same circles so corbyn would have been doing the same. Do you think he would be going out to a local tradesman and offering them big contracts? I think not they put them out for tender and contracts are awarded. He may have given them a heads up on the prices who knows but who cares if the money was going to be spent anyway as long as the jobs get done.

People with no idea on politics, trying to talk politics as if they know a single thing about politics, because the Daily Mail told them about it.
