McNair ----> Stoke City

News gathering pace that Paddy McNair has agreed a two and a half year deal to sign for Stoke City with the deal looking to be completed mid-week.

No mention of fee but reported by Stoke fan forums on Twitter.

Soon suss him out in two years. Two minutes more like. Not bothered about him leaving. Can he take Saville and Wing with him.

Got relegate with Sunderland. Will get relegated with his next club. Poor player that only turns up 50% of games. Some of his dead ball play is beyond crap. Hope he does well at another club. Spend the money wisely this time.

To be fair to him I heard he hardly played when Sunderland got relegated due to injury then came back at the end of the season and scored a few goals.

He's not someone I'm overly fussed about losing. But saying that, our squad is that weak at the moment, he'd still get in the first 11 for me :LOL:

I have no idea, I would ask the scouts at Brentford as they can identify the best young talent on the planet. I hope they achieve the impossible tomorrow night. They would not identify Mcnair as a future prospect.

I would try and replace him with Luke Freeman if possible, someone who can be creative in a midfield 3 or slot in at no 10. He would be my no 1 target

Gibson obviously takes ffp very seriously so it may be that he is the only one who is getting any interest and we need to cash in. Personally though I think that Warnock has been told to do what he needs and feels he can get better for less.

As Warnock said, we are well stocked in the middle of the park so it was likely one or two of them would be off.

Should get a half decent fee off them so as someone said above it's a deal where everyone kind of wins.

I'd rather move on Saville. Then again you need someone to want him.

I can see this being an 'undisclosed fee'. So no doubt Lost a few quid...again.

The contract length is bizzare. You would think he would want more job security.

Hmm, I can see a flaw in this plan! :)

Saville and wing out before McNair
Remember, he even played CH for quite a few games earlier in the season and did ok considering!!
I like McNair. He isn’t a world beater but a solid player and o Neil rates him clearly from his Ireland days
