I don't care what people say, 3 at the back suits our squad, a good coach gets that system to work until we have the players for his preferred system.
Think you are describing Hackney more than McgreeI like Mcgree, he's a forward thinking player that can pick out a killer pass, which to be honest we are a bit short of. I love that he always shows for the ball in tight areas, think half his issues giving the ball away, is we actually don't get it to him quickly enough, we take an extra touch or touches, before passing, and the pocket of space he's found closes in.
He did last night on at least two occasions pull out of a 50/50, given he's off to a world cup in a couple of weeks, hardly surprising. He does need to improve on his positional/recovery without the ball, but could be a real key player for us going forward, think Carrick will improve him
I thought he did well today credit where it’s due it was much improved from hull.Had a very good game today, looked busy and involved had a couple of very decent shots and some less decent plus a possible assist for Akpom's goal. Settling into his role and Carrick is right to stick with him. I thought he was going to get the hook when Crooksy came on (I was a little disappointed not to see Muniz for Forss)
Think seeing him today he proved a point, we moved the ball quicker and I thought he then proved how influential he can be.Hackney’s very promising but completely different role in the teamThink you are describing Hackney more than Mcgree
Maybe my eyes deceived me when he played a ball into akpom for the goalHe’s a dickie dancer - all icing but no cake
And when he walloped it over the bar ?Maybe my eyes deceived me when he played a ball into akpom for the goal
It took a huge deflection into akpoms pathMaybe my eyes deceived me when he played a ball into akpom for the goal
