McGree hasn’t just replaced Tav…

Calm down…I’m saying Tav was good enough to make the next step up…to the Prem

He's definitely got more end product. I have to say at 2mil (ish) he's looking like a bargain. This new Boro buisness model is looking better by the week (also see Forss).

That said I'd love to see what Carrick would have 'done' with Tav.
I'm beginning to think that Carrick would have made the Gook look like Son Heung-min....😯😃

Tavs playing in the Premier League 🤔

I don't watch the Premier League, but look to see how our ex-players and those loaned out are getting on and I've not seen Tav's name on their team sheet for several weeks, since possibly before Christmas. Presumably a bad injury. Anybody any the wiser?

EDIT Decided to be less lazy and have a look. Hamstring injury just before Christmas and still out.

I’m not sure Carrick would be playing him regularly if Tav was still here. He’s a threat as Jones was/is however like Jones he gives the ball away a lot and that’s something Carrick doesn’t seem keen on, he’s not a fan of players taking risks or selfish play he’d rather they pass and move than go past an opponent themselves. Though I’m sure Carrick would love his off the ball work.

Different players and different roles. McGree far better in the attacking third, Tav did so much covering.

This formation suits McGree more. Like Crooks, Tav would be on the bench.

So Tav has more goals and assists 2+4 versus 4+1, in half the matches 15 versus 30, in a higher league Premier versus Championship, yet McGree is an upgrade on Tavernier?
Laughable.

McGree did play very very well yesterday.
