McDonalds - I just don't get it

Not sure you should be talking healthy decisions when you have your own flaws

You can eat 2 McDonalds in a week and have a balanced diet
I'll take 4 units of alcohol in a fortnight over 2 mcDonalds a week. I'd vouch any nutritionalist would too.

I suppose it depends what you are actually eating, not everything on the menu is poison
I'm not saying it is, obviously. It's just that, nutritionally it's just terrible. It's convenience food is all, eat it if you need a quick fix of salts and sugars but it's terrible as a food and shouldn't be eaten much.

There’s a lot of items that aren’t that nutritional. 95%+ will have some form of crap food more than others

As long as it’s balanced then I don’t think it’s a good view to get all judgmental on people

If you have 2 McDonald’s a week there is no evidence it will do harm, where as drinking more than 4 units of alcohol in one sitting on a regular basis does (your admission 26 times a year)

If there is no evidence then I imagine that's because a study hasn't been done.

Look you can eat all the junk food you want, it's your arteries. Just don't defend it's nutritional value. That's just silly

No one defended its nutritional value

We are a great community on this board, we can start a fight over how unhealthy a big mac is. Of course it's unhealthy, but so is a chocolate biscuit, alchohol, white bread, red meat, milk. There is probably a saying about greenhouses and flinging stones but i can't quite recall it at the moment.

I only posted as I was gobsmacked people would queue for this *****. Nothing about the nutrition values as who cares, I have a takeaway every couple of weeks, but cook everything most nights from scratch etc etc

I've queued for tesco but that was for a weekly shop, not a burger.. as someone else posted, park up, walk in and bosh food in 2 minutes.. or be a lazy **** and sit in your car for an hour queuing, blocking the roads

You're starting an argument, based solely on nutritional value and health?

I haven’t once mentioned about McDonalds nutritional value. I said you have still have them, and have a balanced diet.

It was your tone to someone who has 2 a week, and telling them they should look at their diet/health.

Having 2 McDonald’s a week won’t send you to an early grave if you balance your diet.

Not sure what’s worse, people queuing for a long time to have a McDonalds or people arguing about people queuing for a McDonald’s for a long time on a football forum.
I think everyone would agree it’s nuts to queue for a McDonald’s in the heat. I personally can’t get my head around that.

I was thinking though maybe parents are being pushed by children who have social media and saw that it was opening.

Eating Mcdonalds more than once a week despite it's very low nutritional value, is absolutely fine if you get plenty of exercise and have an otherwise good diet, to suggest otherwise is just pretentious and ignorant. I don't eat it but certainly wouldn't judge those who do like some on here seem to be doing.
This is weird? How is it “pretentious” to suggest people should eat healthy? I don’t understand that
