Them poor girls would have been 30 this year. I'm still unsure if she knew/suspected or if she was so blind to Huntley she truly didn't believe it. The programme these last 3 nights didn't sway it either way.

The girls were in goalkeeper Nick Pope's class at school.

My cousins wife gave evidence at the trial. They live in Soham.

She saw them walking in the street in their football shirts on the Sunday. She was asked a simple question about which direction they were heading.

Absolutely crazy to give anyone an alibi, let alone a crime as serious as this.

We will never know whether she agreed to give Huntley the alibi knowing that he'd murdered the girls, or whether she believed he was innocent.

I'd say either way, fear of Huntley will have had a huge influence on her decision. Interestingly, it was an interview she gave at the time which really made people grow suspicious. She spoke about the girls in the past tense, "That's the kind of girl she WAS, she WAS lovely".

One theory I have is that she may have done this deliberately, as she wanted Huntley to be found out for what he had done, but was maybe scared that he'd kill her if she went to the police.

Apparently she's had to be moved around a few times as her identity has been revealed online. She's married with her own child too
Yeah if you search for her on google images you can find it. It's definitely her.

I normally stop at one of the BP garages on the outskirts Soham every few weeks when I pick my girls up from Lincolnshire. It always pops into my mind them poor kids.

It could be that.

I know of another location she was at, but it seems likely that these addresses are routinely used for people being moved through witness protection. Any vulnerable person could be occupying it today.

Not something we should be publishing.

Some shocking crimes from in and around that time. This one wasn't long after Sarah Payne which was another shocker. It's beyond comprehension how anyone could kidnap and murder kids.

Legz after watching it I think she could well have been in denial. The excessive cleaning routine she went through the discovery of the cracked bath - she knew. She didn't want it to be true because she was utterly controlled by Huntley.

No one really knows. The drama was interesting, but it obviously just made up what actually went on behind closed doors.

My thoughts are that she knew about it sometime shortly after the event, but for whatever reason was covering for Huntley. As the drama showed, it was a volatile and abusive relationship, and that brings in all sorts of weird dynamics into the equation.
