Left back for Union St Gillioise who just had his contract terminated, used to be at MK Don's and Fulham youth team. Apparently we're interested along with Southampton, can't say I've ever heard of him, have you?

Sems to be split pretty evenly between left back and right back through his career.. comfortable playing both sides.

Maybe if Bangura moves on.. but can’t see him wanting to sit on the bench behind Engel.

He's more of a RB than a LB - He played there for Swansea last season (against us) - They had Ryan Manning on the left.

He was a hot prospect at MK Dons but has lost his way since. Still only young. He's played as a right back once in his career. Swansea had him playing as a right wingback. Hard to see why we would be interested in him. I wouldn't mind betting it's just his agent name-checking any club in need of a right or left back.

We need a numbers and "squad players" as well as the first team signings...
Dijksteel is our only RB. Smith is out of the season and even our first choice U21 RB (Gitau) is injured.

Although we'd all love to sign a first choice RB, first choice CDM, first choice ST, etc... We're going to have to make a compromise somewhere.

I'm not saying it's happening (it's probably not - I agree it's probably his agent), but it does make sense to sign a player like Sonrinola.
He's a free transfer + probably low wages + championship experience (30 games for Swansea who finished 10th) + only 22 years old.

If Carrick is happy with Dijksteel at RB, Sonrinola would give adaquate cover, Smith is back next season.... It free's up more space/money to buy a better CDM and ST.

He's played 147 minutes for them in 3 years and his contract is up in the summer anyway... Probably just not needed by the club, and wants to find a new club sooner.
