Think he’s our back up striker, or rotational if there is games more suited to his qualities. I actually think today he may of been more effective than Archer in hindsight as Blackpool really dropped off and sat back and Crooks may of been useful.

With Muniz injured and Watmore gone he's definitely still in the striker pool for me, although I don't really like him up there to be honest. He doesn't start ahead of Archer (who I thought looked a bit ineffective or crowded out today compared to the Watford game).
But Blackpool sat in a bit more and gave us less space for Archer and Akpom to work in.
I would say in both his home starts Archer has had a good opportunities to hurt the opposition but a heavy touch has seen the chance go begging.
It looked like he was forcing it and trying a bit too hard today too.
You would assume for the current set up and playing style we'd be set up something like that (starters on the left, then options to the right). Depending on form, finest and whether we want the physical presence of Crooks or not. I can only assume by his amount of minutes Muniz won't get a look in unless we are bare bones with injuries or suspensions for some reason.

Squad player. Personally when Muniz is back I’d play him as reserve CF and use crooks as a reserve for McGree or Forss to see games out. I wouldn’t be surprised if we cash in on him in the summer though as he isn’t a natural fit for what Carrick is doing. Could come in handy though in the remainder of the season

I think Muniz is a more natural fit up top for us too, but he's barely had a kick under Carrick. Which I find a bit odd, unless it was contractual and we were trying to be rid of him in January, but now we know he's here for the season we might start to utilise him when he's fit?
