Matt Clarke

When I have seen him he's been nothing special, but overrall sound (unlike some others at times). Naturally left footed and there is only three in the whole squad who are. Only 1 started at Millwall.

after a very promising debut he seemed to drift into blandness, can see why he never played for brighton in 3 years after they signed them ... better in a back 4 and a stopper just like Dael

Wasn't he player of the year at his last 4 clubs? I mean that suggests he's decent as the majority in the champo.

WBA fans raved about him as a swash buckling attacking CB (I've not seen this).

I'm putting it down to just another decent signing who for some reason we've so far ruined. I mean everything I read about Linihan was the same. I saw comments from other clubs and the 2nd tier podcast saying he was 'free transfer of the season''

Again I've seen nothing to suggest that. I imagine some or all of these players may get a second wind and show true ability under a new gaffer.

I mean we've even turned our best 3 players last season in Crooks / Howson and Jones into players who simply look they've never played together. It's all very strange 😒

Mowatt, McGree, Bola, Giles and Clarke. That's at least 5!

His disappointing start after a good debut has been a tough watch. Even tougher knowing we gave away Wood for peanuts and paid £2.5m for him !

dunno think he might still turn out to be a decent centre half in a back four but Fry and Lenihan are deffo first choice now

fry and lenihan look solid as a rock, hes only going to get backup opportunities, and personally i would prefer dijksteel as 1st backup CB, due to his much superior pace.

As I understand it it he has a trapped nerve in his spine. That can be very painful, so if it is true, I really feel for the lad and hope he gets fit again soon.
