Mark Travers

Did great for us, would be disappointed if he takes up a number 2 role, he's better than that.

That being said I don't want us to sign him. We should be giving Bryn a chance. He did well in his loan spells, did well enough in his first team chance before injury and the funds needed to sign travers are desperately need elsewhere.
He's probably the best keeper we've had since Schwarzer, arguably.

However if we'd signed him permanently, it would have been a terrible transfer, up with the likes of Britt etc. A good keeper in this league costs £2-3 million at the very most unless you have parachute payments.

If I have to choose between Brynn and Travers.. I think I’d stick with Brynn.

Total disrespect to Dieng there btw.. he is solid and was injured before he was injured.. great keeper and shouldn’t just be discounted or passed over.

What's happened to Randolph, never hear anything about him and I thought for Championship level he would be a very good choice.

Randolph has definately been the best keeper we've had since Schwarzer.

Just a pity he chose bench warming in the bright lights to working for a living!

Best since Randolph I'd say, but I don't get everyone being sad that this move is happening? He was never going to sign permanently for Boro, transfer fee and wages would have blown too much of our budget when we have far more pressing priorities to spend it on. Undoubtedly a good keeper, but never really a serious consideration for us.

Yes a man happy to benchwarm and wait for his chance perhaps in a couple of seasons. Meanwhile happy to play good golf at Royal Lytham and nice family walks along the NW coast perhaps taking in the Gormleys at Formby.

I personally want Brynn to be given the chance, I think he looked a good keeper and think we should back one of our own to come through.

Brynn backed up by Glover/Dieng is not a priority position for us. And think it would destroy Brynns progress.
Totally agree regarding. Although I think Dieng will be off when fit and wondering if Glover will be too. Especially as we brought another young keeper in. Owen Foster but not sure if he is with the squad or just one for the future.

What a shame. His career will only be postponed now.

There is absolutely no chance he’s getting minutes for Everton unless Pickford gets injured or sent off. Or it’s in a meaningless cup fixture.

Travers is a very good GK. And far too good to be rotting on a bench.

Best keeper we've had since Schwarzer would be Darren Randolph. Love him or loathe him, he was outstanding. The Sunderland game at home springs to mind and that epic double save of the season at point blank range.
why would anyone loathe him?
