Mark Drury’s commentary Awful

I once had a blow out on FMTTM when describing a last minute corner Sunderland had & scored from, which I regretted & apologised for, to me Drury does a good job, I certainly couldn't show the passion & emotion he shows over the radio & IMHO is as good as any presenter who could take over
 
It's not really about Ali though is it really? It's about the fact that they have better commentators within the BBC Tees team yet Drury is still preferred. It's been proven during one of Drury's "well deserved breaks" as they were described.

The irony is there was a thread exactly like this about him every week on the old board, until he got ill of course. People have short memories.
 
The poor away fans who will now be having Maddo and Drury commentating on their Steam's at the Riverside. Must say BBC three counties in-game commentry was good today they actually researched us. However was no build up or after match thus less of a Boro matchday experience.

Just commentates and says what he sees but with boro passion.

Drury is a ego maniac, boring and full of himself. Not full of boro.

I must admit this has always annoyed me.

Also at times the match seems almost secondary to him, there was a moment yesterday he was in mid waffle as the ball was crossed into their box and he stopped as if to say I’ll come back to this later and then tallied about the almost goal.

Still gets far too excited when the opposition score as well.

Commentate. Don't try to be funny because you are not funny. You really, really are not funny. At all. Ever.
Tell us what is happening on the pitch. When somebody, anybody scores please say, 'Goal!'
Maddo is great, though.
 
A few games ago he kept making sneering comments during the game about craig johns the new gazette reporter on the back of warnock grumblings. Absolute churlish comments. Hes also ridiculed maddos lack of intellect on more than on occasion. His manner on air is not fit for a public broadcaster.
