Marcus Rashford

What's Lingard done?
As mentioned by Block he comes across terribly. He's embarrassed himself on a number of occasions on various social media sites and seems to behave like a 15 year old despite being 27. I'm sure he does his share of charity work or whatever but I imagine all United players do.

What is up with him, he should be ordering prostitutes two at a time!

It is great to see that he is putting his fame and wealth to good use rather than what we have grown to expect from the majority of young stereo type footballers. There are some great kids out there doing a lot of good. Not all of them want to party, but one bad apple gets them all a bad name.
I have spent all of today at the computer going through my Bronze students DofE. It is amazing the activities and volunteering work they are taking part in, even during lockdown.

I have kids who are delivering food parcels and groceries for people. Before the lockdown they had previously taken part in swimming, ballet, tap dance, netball, volleyball, football and rugby. They had volunteered at charity shops, dogs homes, youth centres, Brownies, Scouts, beach cleans and park runs.

I have kids who have performed on the 'Big Night In,' they have reached grade 5 piano, learning the guitar, trumpet, flute, keyboards, ballet tap dance, etc.

Looking at their evidence has blown me away today.

They are all great and only 14 years of age. I have added a certificate below that covers the whole of Redcar & Cleveland.

Young people are our future and we are in safe hands.

So far in lockdown has started a charity that has raised £20 million pound and helped feed 2.8 million children.

Launched a Christmas box campaign with Selfridges to help Manchester’s homeless people

learned sign language to judge a poetry competition in a Deaf school.

What a lovely young man he should be very proud of himself

Brilliant charitable work 👍Perhaps he could even take on a much bigger challenge than those already mentioned and come and play for the Boro when his current contract expires :D

Even sir Marcus would struggle to make a difference in the way he would want for us 😂

So you don't know what he's done.

I think I clearly said the way he’s presented himself on social media is the reason why me and many others especially at his own club think he’s immature. I feel like I’ve just repeated what i said the first time round but hopefully you’ll understand it this time!

Well done that man - a refreshing change from change from the stereotypical selfish flamboyant footballer

🐔

A lot of footballers do good things you know, the press only like to report the bad stuff. Maybe the stereotype is more in your own head rather than the reality

Kids like that must make the job worth it Norman. I honestly think that the pandemic and the focus on climate change will have a positive effect on the thought processes of a lot of young people and they may well be far more accepting of a socially responsible society and the methods needed to fund it.

It certainly does, my everyday role is working with the harder to reach students in our behaviour unit and that can be rewarding. I volunteer my time for the DofE and give 2 nights per week and 6 weekends. I have in the region of 90 students working on the DofE and it is great watching them mature and flourish into young adults. Every year I say I am going to pack it in and every year at the start of the DofE season I say, just one more year. ;)
