It’s magic to see the great big smile and celebrations from the lad when we score a goal and at full time in games this season. He has fully justified his place in the first team and is growing with a self found confidence, not many of us would ever have thought possible last season.
Long may it continue, well done son.
 
It was a great ball to set up Britt. A few of us touched on this after the Luton game, pointing out that he almost always looks to play the forward pass. You rarely see him go backwards or sideways, which is incredible as it's all he seemed to do last season. Just goes to show what confidence can do for a player.
 
That's TWICE he's put that ball down that channel resulting in goals. The kids a beast.

Weirdly Dijksteel however was again served on toast for their goal and for their other big chance. I was quite surprised

To be fair Djiksteel didn't look fit. I was surprised Warnock didn't bring him off around the 70 minute mark, as I was worried about him picking up another injury.
 
Was almost certain Bola would have just drifted away down the leagues after last season, other players get the headlines but his improvement has been nothing short of remarkable.

Dijksteel looked nowhere near fit for me, he would have never given away that first goal earlier in the season, Spence should have played today. At least its going to be 9 days before we play again, he is one that could really do with the rest

Warnock has said in previous interviews that he's only 70% fit and they are trying to nurse him through games. You could see Saville doing the captain's job and geeing him up as they were coming off at half time. It worked as he was much better in the second half.
 
Did we dispose of the guy who looked like Bola from last season and get a competent lookalike in?

I can't think of a single player who I've ever seen so transformed. Some of his passing is superb and he links up so well with Marvin. He strolls through his defensive duties, it CANNOT be the same guy who played for us last season.

Now Marcus Browne...

Saville is constantly in the refs ear nagging away the whole time (y)
 
Marc Bola came through the Arsenal academy, which is something we tend to forget, so the pedigree is there. Perhaps we shouldn’t be so surprised he is now proving his worth.
