Manchester Airport Parking

Going to Florida from Manchester Airport.

Anyone have any recommendations for hotels to stay at the night before and leave the car for the 2 weeks?

Done it twice. First time on a hotel overnight and then APH parking with shuttle.

Got that little sleep as the hotel was crap that we decided to just drive up the same morning last year and parked in the official airport parking on sight. Was a load cheaper

What time is your flight and who are you flying with?

We used drop and go. Really good firm. Two minute bus ride to the terminal when we parked up.
We stayed at the Trafford centre premier inn the night before as we had time to kill before we flew but plenty of options closer by.

The Clayton Hotel. You can park, and keep the keys. Shuttle bus every few minutes.

I wouldn't use any parking service where they "park" it for you. My last experience of that was 37 miles on the clock, almost half a tank of fuel used, and the car returned filthy.

My advice is to not take your car. A year ago i came back from abroad to the supposedly secure car park at 3am to find my catalytic converter cut off. There were about 20 other cars in the same boat. Happens all the time there apparently. Manchester airport were not at all interested. Ended up with a written off car.

Id also caution against any drop and go type firms. I used to live near heathrow and the cars used to be left secretly in residential streets. One time a car outside my house had its alarm going off night and dsy for two weeks. A lad came along on a scooter one day to pick it up and my neighbour nearly ripped his head off.

I either use T1 Meet and Greet or Jet Parks 1. Never had a problem (and my car is a ****).
APH are ok too... but it's a bit of a schlepp on the bus to the airport.

I’ve used M&G at least 10 times and never had an issue. Car tells me know how far and how fast it has been driven when I’m away. Always less than 10 miles and at 50mph.
Just my experience as requested.

Britannia hotel. Cheap and cheerful..
About 10 minutes from airport....hotel runs a shuttle bus every half hr (I think) or they'll pre book a taxi for you. Used it last year and had no issues (you also keep your car keys)

Clayton is a bit soulless but very handy.
Britannia is tired and just away from the airport.
You can leave your car at either.
Haven’t used the meet and greet. Parked in the multi story a few times, it’s often full when you get there. It’s okay to leave your car in the drop off zone at ground floor level, just outside the main car park, although the signs don’t explain that.

Park and greet was fantastic , checked in walked 50 yards to check in luggage at Virgin desk the night before, 5 mins walk to Holiday Inn - £ 10 for a incredible breakfast ( lovely hotel) walked in with hand luggage and off to Florida.
