Man U - Mags - is this a fair reflection of the gap

and obviously, those in the pecking order below the skunks.

Manchester United are increasingly confident of signing Spain and Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, 25, in a club record £135m deal. Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, 20, has unofficially confirmed he will join Manchester United, with the England player expected to cost £116m.

Newcastle United are keen on taking Burnley midfielders Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick, both 28, on free transfers. The Republic of Ireland internationals are out of contract at Turf Moor in the summer.

Now if Boro were to take Brady and Hendrick (a little Keane Influence !) - i could understand, but surely the mags have to be doing better than that to improve / and/ or stay in the prem, whilst at the same time appeasing their own disgruntled fans?.
