Man Citys’ subs bench

I saw the celebrations at the Etihad earlier with Haaland dancing around. The whole subs bench thing today just really hit home how hollow them winning the league is.

Chelsea are evidence that it's not purely down to money. Guardiola has tactically changed the way most teams now play the game. You have to admire him for that alone. He's brilliant.
I was thinking about this in the gym last night while watching La Liga. Guardiola has definitely been a huge influence, but what struck me last night was the pressing from both Valencia and Real Madrid. That is more Klopp and the German gegenpress than Guardiola.

As long as City have Pep, they will be there or thereabouts for the title every single season. Wouldn't shock me if they win it another 5 out of 6 again, if he's there for another 6 seasons.

He will easily go down as the greatest manager of all time. That shouldn't even be up for debate. He's not only a serial winner, but he's changed how football is perceived, even as low as grassroots.

The bloke is a genius.

Sorry, I mean he's a bald fraud.

This is why I have mixed feelings about the Premier League. I for one am looking forward to the outcome of the investigation into their 100 alleged financial breaches. I'm sure that the Man City fans don't care about this at the moment, dancing around talking about trebles etc. It's a bit like the Derby fans attitude at first.

Not many teams are able to press the Guardiola way that's why.

500 ???

Isn’t grealish 120 on his own and de bruyne must be double that so there’s 300 mil on two players.

Huh? How have you decided it's £300m on two players? Grealish cost £100m and De Bruyne cost £55m.

Ederson: £35m
Ruben Dias: £61m
Stones: £47m
Gundogan: £20m
De Bruyne: £55m
Grealish: £100m
Rodri: £62m
Bernardo Silva: £43m
Haaland £51m

Comes to about £475m.

Do you think he’d cost that now ???

Haaland was only capped at that price through dortmunds contract clause again you can quadruple if not more now
What he'd cost now is irrelevant though, the point is tallying up the cost of what City spent on them, which was just under £500m, that's the only factual basis behind the statement. Their value is just some nebulous, arbitrary number that'd likely differ from person to person and has no bearing on anything.

He's also nearly 32, so the idea that he'd cost anyone close to £200m now is utterly nonsensical.
