Man City banned from Champions League for 2 seasons

Well at least UEFA have applied their rules regardless of who the club involved is.

It'd be nice if our domestic governing bodies did the same.

I'm a bit dubious of that. Man City are small fry by European standard; they don't draw that big a TV audience across the continent.

TV bosses will be delighted if this means Man U get a place instead.

I wonder if the same punishment would have been applied to Barca or Bayern?

Yep I'm with Frozen Horse here, hopefully EUFA will be consistent in future penalty handouts

One thing that will happen, if the ban is upheld, is that it'll have a knock-on effect on quite a few transfer windows. City would have been one of a handful of clubs able to afford Messi, but that looks a dead option now with no CL football for 2 seasons.

Would be nice to see Sheffield United or Wolves qualify along with Leicester

Cheers for that 👍
Which AC Milan team got banned, the one that almost single handily dominated Europe whilst representing the most powerful league of the time, or the AC Milan from the most corrupt league Europe has ever seen???

As said above Citeh are European minnows, in comparison to the Uniteds, Madrids and Barcelonas of this world.

Something just doesn't feel right about the whole thing imo

AC Milan are banned from the current Europa League due to breaching FFP rules over a 3 year period.

Oddly enough, they've spent big to qualify for next seasons CL as the potential income will cover their spending.

Boro got three points taken off for failing to fulfil a fixture
Luton were deducted 10 points for making illegal payments to agents
West ham illegally acquired two players one of whom scored the goals to keep them up and were asked nicely not to do it again.

It's who you know.
