I interviewed Malcolm this morning over the phone. He was fascinating. He went through so much in his sadly, all too short career.
I will be writing the interview up for this Saturday's fanzine.
But also do go and see him speak on Monday at the Riverside for Supporters Club 2020. 7pm kick off. Non members welcome.

Anyone read his book yet? Worth a read if so?

Easily forgotten the important role he played in kicking off our league cup win.
Yes is really good read. Shop worker to Premier League in the blink of an eye. Liviing the dream but paying a price mentally. Then catalogue of horrendous injuries, bad luck, medical mistakes and career over almost before it begun. But don't worry, positive outcome in the end. He was so honest and brave writing this. It could help many young players as well as clubs.

Will stick it on my Christmas list! Always seemed a genuine bloke, glad he is doing well for himself.

Look out for the interview in Saturday's fanzine and do get along and see hear him talk on Monday at 7pm for the Supporters Club at the Riverside.

Does it cost to go?

Derby 3-3 Middlesbrough
Super sub that day but unfortunately for Middlesbrough Mr Christie was a ram!!
This game was on the tele but can remember driving down with a few mates and can sadly remember how loud them derby fans were with each goal they got back, “3 nil and you fcuked it up”

Just had to google this game ..Wednesday 6 September 2000, when Christie was about to get subbed on I said to me mate, this lad has a goal in him, subbed on 65 minutes, scored 68 and then that last minute winner!!!

22 years ago….WOW!
