Major conspiracy theorist ….lied.

As 2015 drew to a close, then-candidate Donald Trump made an appearance that was unprecedented in the history of modern presidential campaigns.

It was on InfoWars, the hard-right outlet run by extremist conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, a trafficker in false information who had exploited national tragedies from 9/11 to Newtown. And it was brokered by Trump’s longtime associate Roger Stone, a frequent InfoWars guest, in a bid to win over Jones’ millions of viewers.

“Your reputation is amazing. I will not let you down,” Trump told Jones, who for years had been pushing a message that “elites” and “globalists” are part of a secret conspiracy that controls the world. “You will be very — very impressed, I hope.”

If you'd like to learn a bit more about Jones, you can go wrong with John Oliver's 5 year old piece on him.
He is a grifter, pure and simple, hiding behind the 1st amendment so that he can take in an inordinate amount of money from gullible people. In my opinion, bankrupting him isn't anywhere near enough punishment and I really hope that his texts and emails send him and the whole far right cabal to jail on sedition charges.
They need to follow the money and find out who is paying him to say this and bring those down too

$800k a day he was pulling in. There are daft lads round Teesside drawn in to his nonsense.

FoLlOw ThE mOnEy and all that.

Hope he gets ruined completely for what he has done.
I’m pretty sure there are a couple of folk on this board who have quoted him in the last couple of years, they would never admit how wrong they were though.

$4m in compensation to the victims so far and more to come.
The text messages 'accidentally' leaked by his lawyers also revealed the scale of his earnings via Infowars (upto $800,000 per day in 2018 alone) which he also tried to hide during discovery. That may see the next phase of the verdict pass hundreds of millions as punishment.
The rest of the right wing grifters will be worried too as the Jan 6 committee has also requested the text messages too and it is thought that long time Trump ally, Roger Stone, was in contact with Jones over Jan 6.
Karma is a bitch at times and it sounds like she's strapping on something gold and diamond encrusted in preparation to go to town on one of the biggest àrseholes that has ever lived. Hopefully she has enough lube on hand to see to the rest of them.

He'll more than likely disappear to South America somewhere with no extradition.

The whole thing is bonkers, you can't 'fake' something like the tragedy that happened at Sandy Hook and even if you could, for what purpose would you? The man is nuts.

Absolute lunatic. Listened to him on the Joe Rogan Experience and Joe had to keep stopping and fact checking him.

Strange how none of the conspiracy nutters on here are being very vocal right now

I'm not sure this confession would change their minds. If conspiracy theorists don't like what they hear, they will be inventive in fooling themselves.

If Q were to come out in public and admit everything were made up, QAnon would simply take it as evidence that deep state had found a way of coercing Q into the admission. Some would believe more as a result of this.

So how could Jones be coerced into this admission regarding Sandy Hook? I don't know, but conspiracy wonks will find a way to explain this.

Meanwhile, how are the "something doesn't seem right" brigade feeling about COVID now? Do we all accept it was exactly what it appeared to be on the surface?

Looks like Gareth Ickes old tweets are coming back to bite that ‘truther’ on his bum.

I know a few lads who used the Ickes as evidence the pandemic was a hoax. They tell the truth apparently
