Said this in work yesterday (Manchester) and just got blank looks**.......is this a saying exclusively Teesside-ish?

It was a guy from Hull working on line 3 which is where it originally came from. A bit like Everything But The Girl.

muggy means something more like humid generally? Mafting just meaning hot?
