I remember the Dave Beasant salad cream injury. So bizarre.
Who was the Boro player that got injured "taking two steps at a time" on a stairway? Was it Paul Sugrue? Anyone remember that?

Not sure but some of those stated injuries must have been excruciating. Principally the Rugby player who had his dislocated pelvis locked back into place by physio but trapped a testicle in the joint 😬

An elite sports physio once told me, that when you hear stories of mayo jars falling on feet, slipping on a curb or something bizarre, it’s normally alcohol was involved and it’s a cover story.

There was a weird one in the NFL the other week. The Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor was having a pain killing injection in his rib area, the doctor managed to shove the needle so far in it punctured his lung.

Jesus that story about the nipple - that has to be the worst of them all well apart from the rugby player that is.

Didn't Kevin Thomson (you'd do well to remember him or more so see him play) get injured on his tredmill? He had been out for months and crocked himself doing rehab on a tredder😒

Definitely in the Rudy class of signings🙄

Higgy dropped a TV onto his foot once didn't he?

He also told the tale on the Total BS podcast that some of John Hendries teammates laid him on the beach in Portugal, the morning after a heavy night drinking with Robbo, covering everything but his ass.

Some hours later he's getting treated for second degree burns to his bum and is ruled out of a friendly game with a 'hamstring strain'.

When I was a kid the next door neighbour had half a finger, he’d ripped it off when his ring caught hanging nets on a goal 🤢

Seem to recall a Liverpool goalkeeper injuring himself with an ironing board think it was Sander Westerveld

The late Jim Iley once put his back out getting out of bed during the time he was at Newcastle. Or so he said ;) Was out for a while if memory serves.

apologies it was Michael Stensgaard..........

He became known for a bizarre injury which ended his chances of breaking into the Liverpool first team, as he dislocated his shoulder when setting up an ironing board soon after joining the club. The injury evolved into a recurring shoulder ailment requiring surgery, and he never played a first team game for the club.

Remember in the late 70s or early 80s Newcastle keeper Kevin Carr trying to walk through a plate glass door!
