A brilliant band pre plane crash, still have the albums up to Street Survivors. I reckon Second Helping is my favourite. All really good though.

It’s either that or Gimme Back My Bullets for me.
But the one I play all the time is One More From The Road, a sort of live greatest hits. Great for decorating to.

First band I ever saw live, in February 1976. They were great. Saw them again a year later, only a few months before the crash. Gary Rossington died recently - he was the only original Skynyrd left, though Artimus Pyle who took over on drums after the first album is still alive.

Downloaded 'One More From the Road' and 'Second Helping' on Spotify and both are quality LPs, I had forgotten how good they were.
I can see myself now lying in my hammock in France listening to these with a beer.

I'm just a wee bairn so wasn't old enough to see the original line up. However, I was lucky enough to see them a few years ago in Glasgow on their farwell tour and they were absolutely superb.
Very moving performance of Free Bird to close the show too with photo collages, video clips etc of the original band members followed by candles with their names.
