Apparently we’re in for him with his Contract up in the summer.

you would expect any decision made would be with which division the club are in next season. I would take him on a free personally but suspect he will have a fair few suitors at this level

Yep, I like the look of him, he's got an aggressive streak in him which we have definitely been missing upfront (y)

Yeah he seems very lethal in front of goal. I always Really like his penalties as bizarre as they are with his walk to the ball before he takes it

he was at bormuff wot seems a zillion years ago. I last saw him play for wimbledon at hartlepool a few years ago - he was by far the best player on the pitch. not convinced he'd be a great signing now.

From what I have seen of him he is probably as good as if not better than anything we have got. Deffo worth a go on a free .

he has spent most of his career at lower levels but he’s looked at home in the championship when he’s been fit.

30 year old.

Not sure he fits the profile we're looking for to be honest and I'm not certain his mate Dijksteel will be giving us much of a reference

Yeah his age is a negative tbf but I would take him for a couple of years and accept that there would be no resale value and just hope he scores the goals to make us a decent enough side at this level. I hope the ‘profile’ of players slightly changes as Dijksteel, Bola and Browne were awful. I think Taylor has got more about him than them . Again just my opinion

I suggested on here a while ago we'd look at him, given we have a very expensive forward line (the costs of which need to be slashed) and he is out of contract in the summer.

Its a low risk, low risk signing - the only cost will be his salary, which will be very modest at Charlton and even accounting for a decent raise, it still wont be too much for us.

I think much of what comes in will be determined on what we can shift on though.

Agree with that

Free to buy but he’s 30 and this will be his last big contract and payday so I reckon it’s all down to who can give him most wages. Palace rumoured to be in for him.

He's refusing to play for Charlton this season after his original contract runs out.
Could have a massive impact on the relegation battle.

His age can be a bonus: experienced player - able to influence games and support younger players.
Hes got a ruthless streak which the likes of Brit and Fletcher dont have.
More punch up front will give us a better chance of avoiding the drop.
We could get at least a couple of seasons or more out of him - but we wait and see.
[A one year contract would be a good start - with promise of an extension if he does what we want](y)

I like the sound of that

Scoring record is questionable, only had a few good seasons and its been at a mostly lower level. Plus doing this to Charlton shows him to be a bit of a **** house, had enough players like that over the years. Avoid.

It's not just Taylor; Solly and Davis as well. They won't be the last ones and we may find our out-of-contract players doing the same....

3 of them
