Luton crowd v Wigan crowd

What a shame that tickets for Saturday are so slow and Boxing Day is already at Last Tickets stage. After a month of no Boro it would be nice to see a big crowd on Saturday.

It's good we get the big Boxing Day crowd, just would be nice if some of the people who go to that could get to some of the other games.

after the 4 week break and the return to form and the excitement of the world cup still reckon we should still get a decent crowd

Boxing Day - I always thought there were a few thousand Boro fans that work abroad that come back for Xmas and another few thousand who live hundreds of miles away, but visit family at Xmas.

Likely 25k on Saturday which is a good crowd - we got nearly 24k against Bristol City and have had the good win against Norwich and 4 week break for fans to save some pennies.

It was always gonna happen if they didn’t move the kick off time. No way can the club compete with the England game

I'm in the Boro very much first camp. I like England winning but it won't change my mood like a Boro result does.

Hopefully a good set of results over Xmas and the crowds will grow even further - the crowds so far have been very good. Add a couple of thousand on per game and that is very, very good.

They used to do a ticket deal for the home game prior to xmas even when we were in the premier league

Ref Wigan game - Block 66 is nearly 90% sold out - its rare for that block to sell out and there are 19 days to go to the game the tickets have only be on sale for 2 days. My early guess is this game will be 29k, despite only approx 300 Wigan fans.

There are still thousands left for Wigan and the south stand hasn't been fully released yet.
NB - normal South Stand blocks appear to be released with about 200 tickets left.

Tickets only went on sale on Monday for Wigan game, but I think it will be close to capacity based on us getting an extra 6k to 8k for Boxing day games as per previous trends @ Boro

Our lowest crowd this season is 22k - that was midweek game on the telly.

NB - No guarantee those blocks will be released, most games they are not available - see Luton ticket plan.

I hope the blocks are released, if they are it will be close to 30k crowd, which means people should buy asap if they want to be in groups of more than 2 together.

This season our crowds are up on the same period for the promotion season of 2015/16. I am not quite sure of all the reasons why, but its a fact.

They tend to be released if demand dictates, so no doubt they will be,once the existing south stand sells out.

I can answer my own question now :giggle:

Blocks 55 and 54 have been released this afternoon giving Boro fans nearly all the South Stand for the Wigan game. They must be expecting 30k and at least 29k home fans.

FMTTMers if you want to go and have the funds don't hang about or know others that do, saying working abroad/away.
