Mark Bowen says there is currently 'no chance' of star striker Lucas Joao leaving Reading FC this summer.

The 28-year-old is in the final year of his contract and has been the subject of some intense transfer speculation this summer with the club continuing to operate under a transfer embargo.

Reading are in difficult situation - they can't sign players for fees.

They are also one fo the favs for relegation.

Joao at £2.5m is about the right price as he has only 1 year on his contract and almost 29. He also has a bit of history with injuries. Despite this I like the look of him. He is strong, no slouch and clever with his feet. His goalscoring record is also above average. Reading could use the money for wages for loans and frees. They have signed Shane Long from Southampton.
