Loyalist paramilitaries withdraw support from Good Friday Agreement

The Loyalist Coalition Council which represents groups including the Ulster Volunteer Force and Ulster Defence Association has written to the Prime Minister withdrawing support for the Good Friday Agreement and warning him that if the Northern Ireland protocol is not changed then he will be responsible for the permanent destruction of the agreement.

Ties in nicely with the government unilaterally extending the grace periods for the implementation of arrangements in Ireland.

You voted for it, now suck it up!

I voted for what happened yesterday. Unfortunately you let your own people and the side down, by voting against it. Suck it up 🇬🇧

Just for the record are we saying that the border between the UK and Ireland rules every decision we need to take internally?

One day there will be a united Ireland, the loyalists will make in a nightmare of a country to live in, no different to the IRA in the past.

You voted for the GFA to be undermined? I thought that was just project fear?
Obviously! No i voted for areas such as Teesside to see investment opportunities and regeneration, that just seemed to never happen whilst we were in the EU. Such a coincidence that as soon as we leave it starts to happen, not just here but in other areas. Shame you voted against that. Brainwashed by the London media for 5 years.

Teesside benefited hugely from EU funding...

That's why it's such an economic powerhouse I guess. We don't want or need handouts from the EU. We want jobs, opportunities and a decent living standard. All of that eroded over the years whilst we were locked into the EU. We are much much better off as a region to be separated from them.

People on here seem to be remarkably smug for the potential of a peace treaty failing...strange, very strange!

The deprivation of Teesside would have been far worse without the evil EU funding. If you want to blame them for everything to justify yourself then go ahead.

The BBC report;

"The vast majority of people in Northern Ireland would say trying to be against the Good Friday Agreement is like being against fresh air and clean water.

It is conflating issues that don't need to be conflated."

Well you have missed out there then. The government has about £1b on the Towns Fund compared to over £10b on the Amazing Dildo Harding track and trace scheme.
Teesport could have been a freeport without Brexit. There are free zones throughout the EU and were in fact 5 freeports in UK until 2012 when the Tories got rid of them.
And in terms of tax, I guess you haven't worked out yet that you are going to pay more tax every year until 2026, after this years £70 reduction.
