Lovely day outside

I've been out for a nice walk around a disused airfield - tarrant rushton. was one of the first takeoff points for d-day, so a great place for a bit of exercise & reflection. grabbed some beers from local brewery on way home, now waiting for cricket. an appt with a colorectal surgeon tmrw.... so trying to take my mind off it 😂

Went for a walk along the Leven River instead, no food and stupidly, no water. Only lasted 3 or 4 miles

Wow! Still basics in situ? Some history there.
 
Gorgeous day. Been cutting trees, hedges and clearing scrub.
Looking forward to the England game, so I don't have to do any more of that :love:

after the war, a company called flight refuelling (pioneers of air to air refuelling) setup there - an offshoot of that company is draken (formerly flight refuelling aviation) - now at teesside & bournemouth airports.
