In this region, why do we rush to demolish so many historic buildings then either leave the area derelict or replace with garbage buildings that no one wants or needs?
 
The BOS plant appears to be still there. Does anyone know when it's scheduled for demolition?
Has the Redcar Blast furnace gone yet?
 
I worked for DL/B Steel long ago ,but have no affinity to a lump of concrete.
People yes, but objects like that no.
