Lost & found

Lost:

A pair of Rayban sunglasses which I foolishly left in the campsite showers while on holiday in France circa 1982. To this day I still wonder why I went into the showers wearing sunglasses.

Found:

In 1979 I found 13p in 2p and 1p coins on top of a pile of road salt near Seamer. I was chuffed to bits and went straight to the village shop and spent it all on Trebor penny chews.

LOST

After a night out in Bennetts nightclub in South Bank, I awoke in my parents front garden with a black eye and a bad scratch across my face. I had on only one shoe, the foot that had a shoe was covered in mud up to about mid-calf. Never found the shoe though I suspect that I must have crossed the beck near the Peters School to get back to Eston!

FOUND

I bought a small cottage in Eston and wanted to put in central heating. I got a price for it but it was a bit high so I asked if I could chase out the walls etc to bring the price down - the guy took a bit off and I started work. One thing it had was a small immersion tank in a cupboard in the kitchen that wouldn't be needed. I began the work and when I removed the tank, there was a plastic money bag at the rear of it containing £155. It was a pretty penny to me then - and it paid for some extra renovations!
